Viktor Mayer-Schoenberger will be giving a talk on "Data and Markets: Why We Need to Know – and Worry"

The ability to collect and analyse data comprehensively is changing many aspects of our lives. One that has not received sufficient attention is how data reconfigures markets and creates value. And why this should worry us. In this talk, Viktor will look at how data and data analytics changes human coordination through markets, discuss consequences for other established economic institutions, such as money, identify a fundamental problem and suggest ways to address it.
