Dr Ramin Raeesi

Visiting Researcher

Research Overview

  • Combinatorial optimisation
  • Exact and (meta-) heuristic solution algorithms
  • Multi-objective optimisation
  • The vehicle routing problem
  • Electric and hydrogen-fuelled road transport
  • Shared and collaborative logistics
  • Container terminal operations optimisation
  • Big data analytics

Ramin’s main area of research relates to the development of mathematical models and solution algorithms for combinatorial optimisation problems that arise in the context of transport and logistics networks.

He is particularly interested in the vehicle routing problem with environmental considerations, and facilitating goods distribution using electric and hydrogen fuelled commercial vehicles.
