The workshop brought together attendees from diverse industries including Insurance, Healthcare, Online Analytics, the Emergency Services, Air Travel, Housing, Social Media Analysis and many others. Attendees were encouraged to interact with one another as much as possible to compare their approach to data science and to discuss common challenges. The creation of informal knowledge sharing networks has been a key benefit of previous workshops.
