This short online training session will cover what a policy briefing is, when to use one, and tips to make yours stand out to policy makers.

Policy briefings are short summaries of your reserch that make it easy for policy makers to understand your main points and present your findings in a relevant way for this particular audience.

Who this training is aimed at:

Open to all! This training is ideal for you if you want your research to make a difference to society and need some practical advice to translate your research so that policy makers are more likely to take notice of it.

  • When is a good time to use this format
  • How to write for policymakers for the greatest chance of impact
  • Lancaster University Policy Brief template will be provided
