Personality and the Student Experience

This study investigated the ways in which University students with a personality style characterised by creativity and extroversion appraise and respond to normal changes in mood, both positive and negative. The advantages and disadvantages of these approaches for the individual, and relationships with University outcomes, were also explored. It is unclear what factors are associated with flourishing or experiencing difficulties during university education in individuals with different personality styles. Therefore, we are collected information on interpretations of and responses to mood changes, experiences of inspiration, goal-setting beliefs, social support, and sleep quality. Additionally, we explored how these variables were related to academic performance and engagement with university sports and leisure facilities.
