Research Overview

I am a Senior Teaching Associate in the Social Work department. In this role as a Placement Tutor, I support students whilst they are on placement. I am also involved in preparing students for placements, finding and auditing placements, interviewing prosepctive students and work closely with practice educators and placement providers.

I am also a registered and practising social worker and currently work closely with foster carers who are expereincing an allegation. I sit on and chair fostering panels and deliver training to foster carers and other professionals on a range of topics. As a stage 2 practice educator, I am also involved in assessing and supporting social work students through placement.

I am very interested in research into practice and have carried out my own research into foster carers expereinces of allegations.
