Lancaster University Law School provides a vibrant and supportive environment for researchers at all stages of their career – from senior academic to new PhD student.
The School is recognized as one of the leading law schools in the United Kingdom, with over 80% of our research rated as internationally excellent or world leading and ranked 11th in REF2014 for research intensity. Our research addresses doctrinal, theoretical and interdisciplinary research themes. The ambition is to set the intellectual agenda in our areas of specialism. Research is organized primarily around our 4 research centres. The centres provide a focus for collaborative research activities and engagement with those outside of the University who might be interested in the findings of our research – including policy-makers, judges, lawyers and NGOs.
