The seminar will discuss the gap between the proportion of White students awarded higher grades compared with the proportion of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic students in the UK Higher Education Institute which is referred to as Awarding or Attainment Gap.
Dear all,
You are cordially invited to a seminar where Professor Parama Chaudhury will discuss the UCL Awarding Gap Project's experience, lessons learned, and outcomes. At UCL, Professor Chaudhury serves as Pro Vice Provost for Education (Student Academic Experience). UCL participated in a group of five universities between 2017 and 2019 that looked into different strategies for bridging the awarding gap. Kingston University served as the group's leader. The work that UCL is doing is a development and further adaptation of the strategies that the consortium explored.
