How do we use notebooks to encourage wellbeing?

This interactive session will explore how the early nineteenth-century chemist, Sir Humphry Davy, used his notebooks to write poetry, reflect on his life, make lists, and write up his scientific experiments.

Taking his writing practice as a starting point, we shall also investigate how writing in a notebook, or journaling, might encourage feelings of wellbeing.

The session will include guided writing exercises and the opportunity to reflect on the benefits of daily writing.

This event is part of the Library Festival 2022.
