Part I: 10.00-10.45am This lecture will provide a high-level understanding of some of the publication and citation metrics and how are they calculated. We will showcase an array of metrics and show how they can be applied and monitored to help develop publication strategies, understand your impact, and identify key leading researchers in your field of research.
Learning Outcomes After attending this session you should: 1. Understand how citations can be used as a proxy for quality, impact and reach 2. Have an understanding of the definition of Field-Weighted Citation Impact and other citation indicators 3. Understand how collaboration is defined in SciVal 4. Be able to apply critical thinking around what is driving these numbers and build this into your workflows.

Part II: 11.00-12.30pm During the live demo we will show where to find these research metrics and indicators in Scopus and SciVal and introduce common use cases.
