CREST-OR
Lancaster University, in partnership with universities in Kent and Southampton, are initiating a new programme in 2020 to support developing capacity in Operational Research (OR), for universities in Southeast Asia.
Seven fellowships from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos and Vietnam will participate in the project for one year, during which they will spend three months at the British university partner institutions, from September to December 2020. This period in the UK will be used to develop and test OR applications relevant to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the ECRs’ home countries. Specifically, the work of the ECRs is expected to focus on one or more of the following sectors, according to relevance for their home country situation: disaster management; resilient transport infrastructure planning; food supply security planning; design of smart cities.
