An exciting opportunity has arisen for individuals, academics, community groups and other organisations to apply for grants of up to £10 000 for projects relating to digital technology and flooding.*

*All proposals must be led by an organisation that is eligible for RCUK funding and must meet RCUK eligibility criteria.

Ensemble is an umbrella initiative examining the role of digital technology in supporting open, integrated and collaborative environmental science.

One of the major projects operating within Ensemble is Prof. Gordon Blair’s DT/LWEC Senior Fellowship (Digital Technology and Living With Environmental Change), funded by EPSRC (EP/P002285/1). The five-year research project will specifically research into the themes of flooding, biodiversity, soils and ecosystem services, with the focus of the first year being flooding.

In this call, there are two grants on the theme of flooding and digital technology available, each of up to £10 000. More information is included in the guidance notes and application form.

The deadline for applications is Friday 15th September 2017, 5pm. For more information, please get in touch with Project Administrator Esther Carrington (e.carrington@lancaster.ac.uk).
