Evaluating the Carbon Footprint of Clinical Trials

Roche has an ambitious target to be carbon neutral by 2050. One of the elements of this is looking at the carbon footprint of our clinical trials. At a recent leadership team meeting this was discussed with the Alan Turing institute. Some ideas and thoughts were proposed. Work is underway to collect baseline data but a model needs to be built to optimise and reduce the carbon footprint. This is part of the Roche ambition to reduce costs to society.
