Working Environment
Our aim is to creative a positive and supportive working environment at STOR-i. This includes a personal working space and communal facilities shared with the STOR-i team for their sole use. STOR-i rooms are located together in the fully accessible ground floor of the Science and Technology building.
MRes base room
MRes students are located in the MRes base room and they take ownership of this area. The base room contains an individual desk space for each STOR-i MRes student.
You will be provided with a laptop for the duration of the programme. The base room is also equipped with computer screens, keyboards and mice for all students and a communal black and white printer.
PhD Office
All students in years 2-4 are based together in a spacious PhD office with a specific desk for each person over the duration of their studies.
STOR-i Boardroom and Consultancy Room
The STOR-i Boardroom is equipped with a central tables and chairs. This can be booked for small group meetings and discussions, as well as conferencing facilities.
The Consultancy room features a small round table and chairs which can be booked for smaller meetings and discussions.
STOR-i Hub
The STOR-i Hub, is equipped with comfortable chairs and tables. It can be booked for group meetings and discussions, and projection facilities are available for practising giving talks and supporting group discussions. This space is used as a social space for STOR-i staff and students, and contains kitchen facilities.
