University of the Year
Teaching Excellence Framework
We have an outstanding record when it comes to career prospects – 93.4% of our recent students have since gone on to find employment success or advanced to further study (HESA 3 year average). Whatever your chosen discipline we provide excellent services and opportunities to help prepare yourself for a career in engineering, including a Year in Industry, internships and accessible links with small to medium enterprises (SMEs).
Our friendly, informal and collaborative atmosphere helps those who work and study here to achieve success. We keep class sizes relatively small to avoid overcrowding of facilities or queuing to use the labs, and also to ensure that you are treated as an individual and not a number. Our 'open door' policy welcomes students to call in for help and advice at any time, and our lab technicians are happy to assist with practical and project work.
Our new Engineering Building has been purpose-built to accommodate the interdisciplinary nature of the subject. By combining its modern facilities with our world-class teaching and research, we aim to prepare and inspire the next generation of engineering talent.Learn more
