Living Data: Making Sense of Health Biosensing

Open book. blurred text

The Living Data Research Group’s new book is out! Building on work carried out for the Biosensors in Everyday Life programme, European and UK research projects, Celia Roberts, Adrian Mackenzie and Maggie Mort explore how individuals and groups seek ways of accessing, understanding and sharing data about their bodies. The book offers a critique of the popular claim that ‘more information’ equates to ‘better health’.

Focussing on material that concerns significant life stages, this book explores the potential challenges implied in people’s changing relationships with traditional health systems as access to, and control over, data shifts. Published by Policy Press (Bristol University Press)
