This is a workshop for EdRes and other Lancaster University PhD students
Our goal in writing a research proposal is to convince readers that the proposed research is novel as well as achievable – in other words, worthy of being funded. What can you do to help your prospects? In the workshop, you will have the opportunity to use ‘tools’ useful in assessing your own and others’ proposals. (Given time constraints, we can’t focus on any particular granting agency.)
The workshop will be held by Professor Lynn McAlpine from the University of Oxford. Lynn is one of the most prominent scholars on PhD and post-PhD career trajectories. She receives frequent international invitations to do workshops and keynotes that explore the implications of the research both from pedagogical and policy perspectives. She is also a Visiting Professor at Lancaster University.
This workshop is limited to 20 and will be held via Zoom. It is primarily open to PhD students of the Educational Research Department at Lancaster University; however, it is possible that PhD students from other Lancaster University departments attend too. It is free, but registration is required. We will accept PhD students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please email Ms Kathryn Doherty.
NB: Designed for PhD students nearing completion.
