Centre for Social Justice and Wellbeing in Education

The Centre for Social Justice and Wellbeing in Education is a vibrant network of active researchers engaged in exploring questions about equity, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing in education. Our research spans a wide range of formal and informal education environments including schools, higher education, home and the workplace.

We work with an impressive range of stakeholders: education practitioners; activists; advocacy and lobby groups and NGOs; learners and students; families; radical educators; policy makers.

Our research coheres around a radical ethic of kindness. It aims at positive change and focuses on learning within a broad range of contexts.

Find out more about forthcoming research seminars linked to the Centre on our Events page.

Please visit our PhD pages to learn more about our flagship PhD programme. We also offer an MA in Education and Social Justice.

The current co-directors are Sue Cranmer and Jo Warin.
