Residential meetings at Lancaster University

There will be two four-day residential meetings in Part One of the programme. These meetings are compulsory and are designed to allow us to get to know each other and form a learning community, and for us to introduce you to the various modules, the virtual learning platform and associated technologies.

Year One: Four-day residential

The first four-day residential in Year One is based on the needs of the first two modules - primarily focusing on themes from your first module on Becoming an educational researcher: Researching the self and others as educational subjects.

Year Two: Four-day residential

The four-day residential meeting at Lancaster University in Year Two focuses on developing your thinking about writing your research proposal, includes appropriate reviewing of your learning from the programme to date, taking work on your third module further, and looking ahead to the final module of Part One.

Costs

The cost of these meetings is additional to the course fees and will be approximately £400.00 per residential, this is dependent on the standard of accommodation required and this costing is based on campus accommodation. Course participants also bear the cost of travel to and from Lancaster.
