Abdul-Rehman Malik (Yale) gives the Department's 8th Annual October Lecture on Literature and Religion --his topic: "A Malignant and Turban’d Turk: Interrogating Muslim Manhood in a Time of Mass Death" Lecture followed drinks reception
Taking his title from Shakespeare’s Othello, Abdul-Rehman Malik explores depictions of the Muslim man as an embodiment of social danger and political disruption.
