Repatriation and Decolonizing the Museum: How Does London Rate?
This final talk engages current discussions about the ethics of Art History and the Museum world and the complexities behind repatriation and efforts to “decolonize” the Museum. We will direct special attention on institutions in London, such as the British Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum as well as the Pitt Rivers in Oxford, incorporating material from a recent onsite seminar with Gettysburg College students.
All are welcome to this free event. Refreshments will be provided.
