Fylde accommodation block

Accommodation

Our accommodation consists of ensuite rooms and can be found in the Windmill blocks or the George Fox building. Both are located close to the centre of campus.

Windmill blocks

This area consists of six houses - Clifton, Kirkham, Marton, Lytham, Pilling and Thornton. These are named after areas along the Fylde coast which feature a windmill.

The Windmill blocks are located alongside the perimeter road with the woodland area close by and is a quick walk down the Bonington Step to Fylde College itself. On the campus map, you will see the blocks on the South Drive with George Fox Avenue and Fylde Avenue alongside.

There are 475 ensuite rooms arranged as cluster flats housing up to 8 students plus a kitchen per flat.

George Fox building

Named after George Fox, founder of the Quakers, the George Fox building houses two floors of ensuite rooms above office and lecture theatre spaces. The building is on the South Spine across from Grizedale College, the Co-op convenience store and the wetlands area. On the campus map, you will see the George Fox building as GFX.

There are 118 ensuite rooms arranged as flats housing 10 students plus a kitchen per flat. There is also a common room on each floor which is exclusive to the accommodation.
