The Eco-I North West Awards programme aims to give participating SME’s the opportunity to share and celebrate their innovative R&D which is big in ambition but low in carbon.
We are delighted to open our first award category, Eco-I NW 'One to Watch" Award, the winner of which was announced live and in-person at our event, Journey's to Net Zero: Collaboration Showcase, held on 12th July 2022 at Lancaster University.
Apply nowThe Eco-I NW ‘One-to-Watch’ Award was entirely free to enter. Applications were scored by a panel of senior members of the Eco-I North West partnership. Each entry was be judged against set criteria by two different panel members.
For the winner of this ‘One-To-Watch’ category, the Eco-I NW team funded the creation and production of a short showcase film highlighting the business and the innovation the winner is progressing. This film was co-created in partnership with the award winner and can be used by both the Eco-I NW project and the winning organisation as a promotional tool.
Applications project criteria:
All entries will be assessed as on five categories: Innovation, Collaboration, Sustainability, Progress to date, and Impact.
Detail what makes the project/collaboration is innovative, novel and what steps have been taken along technology readiness levels.
Summarise the project and who is involved.
Evidence how the project is delivering carbon savings and/or additional environmental benefits.
Explanation of what the project has achieved so far and how can you evidence these achievements.
Describe the impact(s) of the project that have been realised already and what is projected for the next 5 years.

The Eco-I NW ‘One-to-Watch’ Award celebrates a project or organisation which has demonstrated a true partnership approach to problem solving, which is growing in momentum and impact. This award is for innovations which are believed to be impactful, scalable and widely applicable.

Apply here by the deadline of Sunday 26th June 2022. By submitting this application form you agree to the Eco-I NW project publishing/sharing non-private information from the application in the interests of PR and Communications. This will not include details given of the project itself to preserve commercial sensitivities. With prior permission from the entrant, Eco-I NW may produce a case study of this collaboration for use on websites, social media and on other platforms. The Eco-I NW project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
