Eco-I North West
Eco-I NW supports north west organisations innovate to secure a prosperous and low carbon future. This £14m project delivered by 6 of the region’s leading universities and is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
We aim to support innovation and growth in a truly sustainable manner. The Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) has highlighted the effects of climate change and the urgent need to act now and in all sectors. This represents opportunities for business to develop new low carbon products and services, and our business support is designed to facilitate this.
The centre led a Science Innovation Audit published by the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy demonstrating that the North West of England has the knowledge, skills, place and capacity to be world leading in the development of technologies for clean and sustainable growth. As a result the centre now leads on Eco-I North West as is a partner for the Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory project (LCEI).

The Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory (LCEI) project offers low carbon innovation support to businesses across Liverpool City Region. Part-funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
