YORDAS GROUP
Yordas Group is one of the leading international providers of regulatory guidance, training and scientific and analytical services to industry in the field of chemicals management and risk assessment. Their integrated services ensure customers are able to effectively manage and comply with current and future chemicals legislation.
PROJECT
Since their introduction in the early 1990s, systematic review (SR) methods for aggregating evidence have transformed medicine, saving lives and money simply by ensuring we make the best possible use of existing research when making healthcare decisions. The purpose of this project was to contribute to a similar transformation in chemicals policy, by developing novel SR tools to advance the assessment of environmental risks posed by chemical substances. These methods have the potential to precipitate a step-change in the transparency and validity of the processes by which scientific research is integrated into environmental policy.
TAYLOR HARRISON
Taylor studied for a Chemistry degree with the desire to understand processes at a deeper, molecular level. Since graduating, Taylor has worked in a variety of chemical industries, becoming increasingly interested in the environmental consequences of industry, and is enthusiastic about working to improve them.
