A new widget lets users view their upcoming events at a glance, with direct access to relevant check-in pages for added convenience.
For those working alone on campus, our new lone working feature provides regular digital check-ins and notifies security as needed, offering peace of mind and an extra layer of safety.

We’ve developed a chatbot powered by a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) database to help determine the support a student might need. Instead of presenting a static form, the chatbot engages in a natural, conversational flow—making the process more intuitive, accessible, and student-friendly.
A social worker chatbot that simulates realistic conversations with diverse virtual avatars—helping users build empathy and communication skills through text, voice, or guided Socratic mode.
A reference generator that takes user-written content and automatically formats accurate references—making citation quick, easy, and reliable.
We're exploring ways to enhance existing processes with AI—like our reference generator, which takes user-written content and intelligently produces properly formatted citations, streamlining academic work and making the student experience smoother.

Welcome Week is an annual website to help new students plan their first week, offering essential Freshers' Week info. Accessible via web, portal, and app, it allows filtering activities by interests for a tailored experience. Partnering with ASK, we've designed a user-friendly interface to give Lancaster’s newcomers a smooth start. Acting as a central hub, Welcome Week supports students in managing those critical first weeks and building a strong sense of belonging that lasts throughout their university journey.
Ideas Wall is a feature designed to put the users creative minds at the forefront. It allows both us and you to create different walls based on different topics to get the next brilliant ideas and innovations for them. For example, we may have one called iLancaster where anyone can write ideas they'd like to see next, as well as having the ability to vote and comment on other people's. This will help us decide what to work towards next.

We’re always looking to innovate, using technologies like augmented reality to enhance the student experience. Our goal is to make campus navigation, resource access, and peer connections more engaging and intuitive, supporting a vibrant, connected student community.
The IBPI is an online tool that offers parenting support alongside strategies for managing bipolar disorder. With 8 sections, parents can complete each section in about 30 minutes and access the resources anytime on multiple devices. This project is ongoing until 2026.
A dedicated platform for students at Lancaster University to submit and showcase their research projects. While only Lancaster undergraduates can submit their work, everyone is welcome to view the projects, fostering community engagement and celebrating the innovative ideas of our talented students.
This October we took part in Lancaster Music Festival. Powered by collaboration with Lancaster University's finest minds, we worked on a set of VR experiences that captivated, educated, and inspired. Our experiences ranged from an upgraded imagination cave to experiencing life with cochlear implants and even noises heard from the womb!
Lakeside Aurora is an immersive VR experience developed in collaboration with Professor Jim Wild from the Department of Physics. It brings to life the science behind the Northern Lights, allowing users to step into a beautifully simulated aurora over Windermere. Rooted in real space weather research, Lakeside Aurora transforms complex physics into an engaging, awe-inspiring journey — blending science, storytelling, and cutting-edge digital innovation
ProbAI is a platform developed to support the Probabilistic AI Hub, bringing together researchers in AI and mathematics to advance probabilistic methods. Our team redesigned the site to better showcase research, people, and events, using a clean structure, semantic styling, and simple content management—making it easier to share cutting-edge work at the intersection of AI and uncertainty.
We worked alongside Lancashire's emotional health services to provide a Compassionate School Hub website. This platform helps to evaluate schools' mental health approach, access resources and training, share best practices, and much more.
CSH WebsiteWe explore other virtual reality projects aimed at enhancing the student experience—creating immersive, interactive environments that support learning, wellbeing, and campus engagement. From virtual campus tours to simulated training scenarios, we use VR to make student life more accessible, engaging, and future-focused.
The web based application which takes in user details and generates a personal statement, cover letter, potential interview questions with answers, and even top tips on what to bring up in an interview.
