This workshop is appropriate for all researchers and research support staff at all career levels...
This workshop is appropriate for all researchers and research support staff at all career levels.
Academic promotion, recruitment, the Research Excellence Framework (REF) and World Rankings all lean on quantitative research metrics for evaluation. Lancaster recently released our Statement on the Responsible Use of Research Metrics. These nine principles consolidate the University's commitment to responsible metrics and form the foundation for the development of Department/Faculty action plans.
This workshop will:
- Provide an overview of the responsible research assessment landscape
- Introduce quantitative research metrics and how these are used globally
- Discuss our Responsible Metrics principles and workshop how these can be embedded across University practice
- Demonstrate links with wider Research Culture considerations
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
