This year’s Open access Week theme is “The Cost of Knowledge”, a sequel to last year’s theme. Whereas last year was all about the facts of ownership and how protective publishers can be, this year is about avenues and approaches to reclaim control of the systems which were meant to serve the public interest. In this exhibition, we will explore themes of citation justice, academic labour, and the environmental and personal impacts of data centres. Come explore the impacts of knowledge sharing and how we are regaining control of our systems.
