A Multi-Disciplinary Research Centre

LIRA epitomizes and facilitates transdisciplinary and collaborative work. It has 8 research themes with the main research strengths in:

Trustworthy and secure autonomous systems.
Robotic and Autonomous Systems for nuclear waste treatment and decommissioning research.
Explainable deep learning and its applications to:
- Remote sensing.
- Autonomous driving.
- Medical imaging, e.g. Covid-19.
