Campus Conversations
Looking to broaden your network across the University? Join this new initiative to be paired up at random with a colleague for an informal meeting over a brew - wherever in the world you’re based.
Following on from Brew Monday, Campus Conversations offers a simple, friendly way to meet colleagues from different departments and roles.
Brought to you by Organisational Development, it’s like ‘time for a brew’ come to life. It provides a way for staff to make new connections, spark new ideas, and strengthen our global community.
To take part, any member of staff can register online. Then, once a quarter, you'll be randomly paired with another member of staff from across the University. After your introduction, the two of you can arrange a time to grab a cuppa and start your conversation. Staff will be matched within similar time zones where possible.
Catherine Harrison, Interim Deputy Director of People and Organisational Effectiveness, said: “Campus Conversations invites us to meet beyond our usual circles, deepening our sense of community whilst strengthening the networks that make the University thrive. It could inspire fresh thinking and interdisciplinary opportunities through coming together with openness and curiosity, enabling us to shape a university where we can share learning, create space for diversity and enable new ideas to flourish”
