Members of the People and the Oceans Knowledge and Action Hub attended the One Ocean Science Congress and then the UN Oceans Conference (UNOC3) between 3-13 June 2025 in Nice, France.

This was a great opportunity to share findings from ongoing projects, and to find out what is emerging from other scientific and policy work on the intersection of people and the ocean.

The Hub also supported a 'side event' at UNOC3. Titled ‘Ocean justice: Championing fair and inclusive blue economy’, the solution-focused event explored how different delegates understand ocean justice and the obstacles to achieve inclusive blue economy.

Members of the Hub also presented a session on Justice in the ocean economy post the UN Ocean Conference 2025 as part of our Festival of Sustainability, on 26 Jun 2025.
