The Transforming Tomorrow Masterclass Series is designed for businesses in NW England to gain insights and understanding on key sustainability topics from leading professionals. Dr Sam Gardner talks about the importance of energy infrastructure for business and sustainability.

In the last 20 years the UK power sector has undergone a huge transformation, from coal power domination in the late 80s to being the first G7 country to meet growing electricity demand without an operational coal plant.

This masterclass, with Dr Sam Gardner, Head of Climate Change and Sustainability at ScottishPower, provides an opportunity to consider how record investment in energy infrastructure will ensure that renewal delivers for people, nature and places, against a backdrop of a changing climate which demands greater resilience and adaption to new extremes.
