You’ve received your Clearing offer. What next?
Congratulations! You’ve got your clearing place to come and study with us at Lancaster University in 2022. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the University.
There a few things you now need to do.
Clearing offer holder events
Once you receive an offer through Clearing, you’ll be invited to one of our exclusive Clearing offer holder events. These take place both in person and online and give you a chance to discover our campus and learn more about your course. You’ll receive details of this and other useful information once you’ve been made an offer, so keep an eye on your emails!
You can apply for accommodation at Lancaster University as soon as your place is confirmed through UCAS. We will be in touch with you by email to let you know how to book your accommodation.
For Clearing applicants, we guarantee you an offer of a room in accommodation owned, managed or approved by the University for the first year of your degree.
In the meantime, you can find more information about choosing your college and accommodation on our welcome pages, or call our Accommodation team on +44 (0)1524 594910.
Student funding and fees
If you are eligible for UK funding, there are some things you will need to do now to make sure your student loans (tuition and maintenance) are paid on time.
Our welcome site has more information on how to pay your fees and stay safe from 'phishing' attacks and scams.
It is important that you update your account with Student Finance England to avoid any delay in payment of your loans. For more information please refer to the UK government's student finance website.
Adjusting to being away from home for the first time can be a challenging transition for students, particularly if you have additional needs. We offer a range of support to help you develop your independent learning skills and feel confident and comfortable. Please visit our Disability Services pages to find out what you need to do now, or email us at email@example.com.
Travelling from overseas
Students coming from overseas may need a visa to study in the UK. Our expert team is on hand to help you through this process and answer any questions you may have. You can find lots of useful information and guidance on our Visas and Immigration page.
We also have lots of information online to help you prepare for travel to the UK and settle in at Lancaster, and we run a transfer service from Manchester airport.
And finally a very warm welcome to the Lancaster community
Our Welcome website explains the steps you should take before you begin your course and what to expect once you arrive. It covers everything from how to register as a student and arrange accommodation, to moving in and our Welcome programme.
