Help When You Need It

Are you finding it more difficult to get everything you need as prices continue to go up?

Your College has a range of ways to support you during these difficult times, courtesy of additional funds provided by the University.

These include:

  • Free Food: Find out when food events are taking place in Graduate College by following us on Instagram, and bookmarking our Libcal page - events will also be advertised in the weekly MyLancaster newsletter, and the student news portal.
  • Hardship Vouchers: If you are struggling, get in touch via graduatecollege@lancaster.ac.uk and we will
  • Community Cupboard: A community space for students to share unopened food and sanitary items (e.g. soap, shampoo) they do not need. It is also stocked by the college.
  • Emergency Bags: If you are IN NEED (i.e. short of funds, waiting for a bursary or loan payment, and just need a few things to fill a gap) then we can also put an emergency bag together for you so you can cook a meal/wash etc... just speak to a member of staff or email us.

Also available across campus - Free Sanitary Products

Free sanitary product vending machines are available around campus for both students and staff in the following accessible washrooms:

• Bowland North - B077

• Health Innovation One - D15d5

• LEC - C22

• LUMS West Pav - WP C037

• InfoLab21 - C09

And in Lancaster and all around the UK, there's also - Too Good to Go

Download the 'Too Good to Go' App and order your 'Magic Bag' from the Spar on campus for only £3. Each bag contains a selection of grocery items that could include fruits, vegetables, cakes, pastries, snacks, fish and meat. Contents depend on which items haven't sold that day, so it's a surprise until you pick it up
