LAWS’ tutor, Rafael Savva reflects on his experiences during exam periods as an undergraduate student and provides his tips and advice for success.
I am a mature criminology undergraduate and had no hesitation in taking the Learning Together module. This was based at HMP Lancaster Farms, a category C resettlement male prison, and held on Wednesday mornings. Lancaster University students and Lancaster Farms based students worked collaboratively and we all got on brilliantly right from the start. Importantly there was no ‘us and them’ dichotomy- we were simply classmates, learning together.

Chloe Branton graduated with a first class LLB Law degree in July 2018. She commences the BPTC LLM in September with a full scholarship from the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. Her dissertation was supervised by Dr Sarah Beresford.
Kyriaki Vassiliou graduated with a first class LLB Law degree in July 2018. Kyriaki’s dissertation represents a combination of International Human Rights Law and Company Law. Kyriaki has embarked on an LLM in International Business and Corporate Law at the Law School. Her dissertation was supervised by Professor James Sweeney.
Eleftheria Potamoussi graduated with a First Class degree in LLB(Hons) and she is now studying an LLM in International Commercial Law at University College London(UCL). Her dissertation was supervised by Professor James Sweeney.
Alastair Nokes graduated with a first class LLB Law degree in July 2018. He is an aspiring solicitor and is currently attending BPP University in Manchester, undertaking the Legal Practice Course with integrated Legal Practice Masters. Alastair will join TLT as a trainee solicitor from September 2019, where he will commence a two-year training contract.
Amar Goindi graduated with a first class LLB Law degree in July 2018. He is planning to work in London as a commercial solicitor. His dissertation was supervised by Dr James Summers.

Lucy Pozman graduated with a first class LLB Law degree in July 2018. She is studying the LPC LLM at the University of Law before commencing her training contract with Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand in September 2019. Her dissertation was supervised by Dr Ben Mayfield.
