“Without” is an independent short film and a Russian/British/Canadian co-production inspired by the tone, atmosphere and topics of such films as “Melancholia” (Lars von Trier, 2011), “Black Swan” (Darren Aronofsky, 2010), “Pina” (Wim Wenders, 2011). The creators of the film aimed to create a high quality emotional poetic dance drama with experimental narrative structure. It is worth mentioning that this film is created by a mostly female team.

Story: A young ballerina faces problems both in her personal and professional life. Once she loses herself in depression and plunges into imaginary worlds, the real life forces her to find a way out and she again meets her creative self.
