As part of Lancaster University's ongoing strategy to promote social mobility and ensure that higher education is inclusive of all students, the University funded two artists' residencies for recent graduates from LICA's BA Hons Fine Art scheme. The two artists secured residencies with leading UK institutions: Skye Williams conducted a remote residency with Liverpool Biennial, while Rachel Doughty was able to work with The Eden Project in-person.

The two artists had an in-depth discussion about their residencies with Corridor8, a publication focusing on contemporary visual arts based in the North of England. In their interviews, the recent Lancaster graduates discussed their artistic practice, the experience of undertaking an artistic residency, the nature of artistic expression during lockdown periods, and delivering exhibitions through non-traditional means.
