You will also be expected to provide documented evidence of having two MMR vaccinations (or serology reports that prove you have immunity to Rubella and Measles) and if this is not already in English, it will need to be translated.
In the very rare event of a genuine medical contraindication for the MMR vaccine, you can discuss this with our occupational health nurse during screening and you should confirm this on the enclosed form.

We are able to confirm A and AS Level, EPQ, Cambridge Pre-U and IB qualifications taken within the UK and achieved within this academic year through UCAS.
During Welcome Week, we will ask to see your certificates for all other qualifications declared on your UCAS form that were used to assess your eligibility for the course or formed part of your offer, e.g. GCSEs, A Levels not achieved in this academic year, degree qualifications or international equivalents.
It can take some time to order certificates from your exam boards, so please ensure that you do this as soon as possible so that you have them in hand before commencing your studies. Please note, the exam board transcript that you receive on results day is not acceptable proof of qualification.
In the Clinical Skills sessions in Year 1, you will be in a mock ward environment and often working on each other. You will need to have one set of scrubs and suitable footwear for these sessions, which can be worn every week. You will be able to collect these in Welcome Week.
Please note that Gateway year students are not required to purchase scrubs until they begin Year 1 of Medicine.
Arrivals Weekend will take place on 27th and 28th September 2025. Your college will be in touch about your move in date.
Welcome Week will begin on 29th September and will include a number of compulsory sessions delivered by Lancaster Medical School. These sessions will introduce you to the course, our staff, and other Medical students.
