What is REAMS?

REAMS is the Research Ethics Application Management System for Lancaster University. It is an electronic ethics application review system that allows us to submit, review and approve ethics applications for staff and MPhil/PhD students. Click here to watch a short video explaining how to submit an application in REAMS.

Further guidance can be found on the REAMS: User guides and video tutorials page.

Why is REAMS being introduced?

REAMS replaces the previous paper-based system and allows us to provide a consistent, accurate, secure and efficient ethics application process.

Please remember to consult the University Research Ethics web page along with your Faculty Research Ethics web page before you begin your application: FHM, FST, FASS and LUMS
