Event Details

This week-long event has been specially curated for students considering careers in the creative and cultural industries.

Learn more about the career opportunities available, and hear from people who’ve walked the path already.

Perhaps you're an artist, writer, actor, or dancer who is ready to explore turning your practice and ideas into a career? Or maybe you’re a creative practitioner, already working on a side hustle, and want to find out about the support to develop your business or social enterprise?

Come and join us for talks on:

  • Community Art
  • Heritage, Journalism
  • Arts Marketing
  • Diversity and Social Mobility
  • Creative Roles in Charity

These sessions are designed to give you the unique opportunity to ask panellists questions about their jobs, their journey to where they are today, and what advice they have for getting your foot in the door. Cultural & Creative Industries Week paves the way for a multitude of career possibilities for every individual, and we can’t wait to run this event for the third time.

This event is part of the U Start project which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Northern Powerhouse scheme.
