Second China Business Briefing

On Tuesday 25th April 2023, Lancaster University Confucius Institute hosted the Second China Business Briefing at Lancaster University.

Lancaster University Confucius Institute Director, Professor Jinghan Zeng, and Deputy Director, Amily Wang Guenier, welcomed attendees to the Second China Business Briefing, followed by a speech from Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Engagement, Sarah Kemp, who joined the event.

Tim Skeet, Chief Institutional Relationship Office and Member of the Executive Management Committee from the Bank of China London branch gave a talk on the topic of China Re-opening to the World - Opportunities and Challenges followed by a panel discussion between Dazhi Song from the Bank of China, Michelle Caiyu Wang from the Shenzhen Government European Office, Jason Li from DC Advisory and panel chair Dr Yuting Bai from Lancaster University Management School.

The event was well attended with a full room of representatives from local companies, representatives from companies in China and Lancaster University staff and students. Around 100 people attended the event either online or in-person.
