Rob's research interests lie in examining the professionalisation of health and social care workers and the impact of existing professional structures and practices on equality of access to training and the variance of experience for minority groups.
He has an interest in the role technology plays in defining organisational priorities in the delivery of social care services and how systems can support rather than restrict practice in the social care sector and their ability to widen access and reduce stigma.
Career Details
Rob spent 10 years working within web and print publishing as publishing technology manager before changing his career to social work. After 3 years working within mental health support services in Greater Manchester, Rob moved the Lancaster University to research web based interventions for bipolar disorder with the Spectrum Centre for Mental Health Research. He now works to support the delivery of the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a director of NeuroTriage, a C.I.C. working with homeless people in Liverpool.
