Training and consolidation of clinical practice  in relation to adults with intellectual disabilities

Public participation in all aspects of programme activity is a core value for the Lancaster DClinPsy Programme. Involvement has to be meaningful and also appropriate for the ability level of the individual. At Lancaster we have developed two key areas to enable people with ID and autism to take part in our selections process which have been highlighted as an example of good practice in the recently updated British Psychological Society guidance on training and consolidation of clinical practice in relation to adults with intellectual disabilities.
