How to win more research funding (And become more cyber secure while you do it!) Please join us for the first DSI Lunch time talk of the term

In 2017 data overtook oil as the most valuable commodity in the world. This has had a profound impact on academia and the way we undertake research at Lancaster. With such a data rich environment governing bodies such as UKRI are keen to see us all be responsible and safe with their ever more valuable data.

With its recent launch of Security and Protection Science community Lancaster University is tackling these concerns from funding bodies head on and responding to the changing research data landscape.

Geraint is part of this new initiative at Lancaster and is responsible for the day to day running of various Secure Data Science Infrastructure around the University. This talk outlines our current data facilities where secure data science research can be undertaken and also looks forward to the new cutting edge facilities being built and opening soon at Lancaster.

Come learn about these facilities which will equip you to explore bids from a wider and more varied range of funders.
