Law LLB Hons (M100) - Pathways
Students studying on the Law LLB Hons degree can choose to follow one of three pathways to build up their expertise in a focused area. If you choose to follow a pathway you will have this recognised on your degree certificates and transcripts. You must select a minimum number of credits from modules relevant to your chosen pathway. There is simply no substitute for practical legal education, and I can say without hesitation that the Legal Advice Clinic module has prepared me for private practice the most. Taught by experienced, practicing solicitors, I feel far more prepared to enter the legal industry after undertaking a range of real-life-tasks.

My experience of a combined Law and Criminology degree has been excellent. With the core law modules I have been able to gain a solid foundation of various areas of law. With each module being so different, you are able to experience different aspects of law, discovering topics that you may wish to enter into in the future for a career. Aspects ofcriminology go hand in hand with a law degree thereby allowing for a diverse and enjoyable degree with lots to offer. I’ve also had great support from the School, from academic advisors, seminar tutors, and drop in sessions, so I’ve never been left without the opportunity for help.
