Our Bay Our Future provides exciting climate action projects and opportunities for young people, (and those that support them!) around Morecambe Bay.

Each of the eight Our Bay Our Future programmes uses the ‘head, heart and hands’ approach to learning about and caring for the Bay; designed to help children and young people of all ages to grow the values, skills and knowledge needed to care for where we live and secure local green jobs.

Our Bay Our Future

Over the next four years, we aim to:

Mobilise grass-roots action

Develop green skills

Grow a cross-bay network

Grow a cross-bay network of Climate Action Leaders, sustaining long-term action across our region!

Our partners

Thanks to National Lottery players, Lancaster University, Lancaster and Morecambe College, the University of Cumbria and Morecambe Bay Partnership will lead the new ‘Our Bay Our Future’ programmes with funding from the Climate Action Fund, a National Lottery Community Fund funding programme that supports communities across the UK to act on climate change and involve more people in environmental action. You can find out more about our partners commitment to Our Bay Our Future, on their websites.

Our programmes

Our programmes have been designed alongside the Morecambe Bay Curriculum community, to ensure toddlers to adults, can engage with climate awareness, action and leadership.
