Consultancy at Regional Teaching Partnerships
Programme Consultants are University staff members who work with Lancaster’s regional teaching partnerships to assist with quality assurance processes relating to programmes validated by the University. The role of Consultant is varied and the depth of involvement changes with the requirements of particular programmes and institutions. Programme Consultants are specialists bringing valuable expertise and experience. They have a key role in maintaining the academic standards and quality of programmes validated by Lancaster.

The Academic Quality Standards and Conduct team organise Programme Consultancy as part of their work with the regional teaching partnerships.
Consultancy Fees and Expenses
Payments are made at two points in the academic year: the first third after receipt of the mid-year report; and the remaining two thirds after receipt of the end of year report.
Internal Consultants
The Programme Consultant fee will be included in the internal consultant's next payslip following the submission of their report. For expenses, they should use the online Web Expenses page for all Travel Claims to and from the partner institutions.
Internal Consultants
External Consultants should complete an External Programme Consultant Claim Form to receive their fee and expenses reimbursement. This form should be completed in full and returned with all associated tickets or receipts to programmeconsultants@lancaster.ac.uk. External consultants should review the External Programme Consultant Expenses Guidancee before submitting their claim.
