Catch The Wind Kite Festival 2022

The Lancaster University Confucius Institute team had a wonderful time at Catch The Wind Kite Festival over the weekend on Morecambe Promenade. The warm weather with a summer breeze made it a perfect weekend for the kite festival.

Lots of families visited the Lancaster University Confucius Institute arts and crafts stall over the two days, and the children enjoyed making kites, Chinese lanterns, Chinese knots and practicing some Chinese calligraphy.

On Sunday, there were also objects from Lancaster’s museum collection to do with tea and China on the stall.

The Lancaster University Confucius Institute team enjoyed interacting with members of the local community and listening to the wide variety of music playing; there was a lively atmosphere all round.

In the evening, the team enjoyed going onto the beach to view the amazing kite displays, and they also flew their own kites.

We are incredibly grateful to More Music for having us, and for providing such positive feedback about our stall. We would like to thank More Music for organising such a wonderful event.
