As part of the visit, Mr Zheng and a delegation from the Consulate met with Chinese students and also with staff involved in the Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) campus.

Professor Claudio Paoloni (Engineering) said: “It has been an honour and pleasure to welcome China’s Consul General to the Engineering Department. I was very impressed by his genuine interest and approachability.”

As for the Confucius Institute's role, we were priviliged to welcome Consul Zheng and his team to The Roundhouse to admire our fantastic base of operations, then later Prof. Jinghan Zeng and the CI Leadership team were able to deliver a presentation concerning the CI and our activities.
