Research Interests

My research interests are primarily focused on inclusivity in HCI, and societal impacts of technology on people with disabilities both in education, and in wider society. This includes topics such as technology enhanced methods in both learning and assessment, assistive technology, digital accessibility and other topics like them.

Current Teaching

I currently TA on SCCx1A which is the combined lab for SCC 111: Software Development, SCC121: Fundamentals of Computer Science and SCC131 Digital Systems. In the past I have TA'd on SCC 130: Information systems SCC 205: Social, Ethical and Profesional Issues in Computing, and SCC 360: Computer Science Seminars.

My Role

I am a PhD student in the department carrying out research and working with my supervisors in researching ways to improve academic assessment through technology. I also work as a graduate TA helping on taught modules in the department. I am also a member of the Lancaster University LGBTQIA+ Ally Network and act as both an ally in my department and as a student representative to the network. I also work as a student representative on the EDI Committee and a student ambassador in the department.

External Roles

I am the R&D Liaison for the BCS specialist group for NeurodiverseIT and work alongside their committee. In addition, I am a general member of the ICT Ethics specialist group committee for BCS. I am also the Students with Disabilities Officer for Lancaster Students Union 2023/24.
